This book is written to help individuals and local churches develop skills for sharing their faith in our Contemporary society. The book provides an outline of techniques that will work today in our oftentimes very secular environment. The book talks about how both the individual shares his or her faith with others and how the local church can help its members in witnessing about Christ. There is also a manual with TELL, called Time to Tell, that provides local churches a new method of developing a 10-week program for effectively sharing the faith.
Also, associated with TELL is a personal prayer journal to help individuals focus their prayer attention on God’s guidance as they witness to their friends, business associates, acquaintances, and relatives. The Time to Tell manual also provides a DVD with Dr. Pierson explaining how to share your faith. These materials are appropriate for Bible studies, Sunday school classes, and other study groups.
This book and manual can truly empower a local church to live out the Great Commission!

TELL addresses the crucial problem that keeps the church from being missionally effective: more Christians need to tell the good news of Christ. Bob Pierson's account of why we tell, how we tell, and what to tell is shared with personal illustrations and great clarity. He outlines the complexities of the evangelistic task and offers concrete ideas of how to address them. This book is theologically sound, practically oriented, and engagingly written!

Bob Pierson's new book on the ministry of evangelism is one of the most readable and engaging in years. More important, it builds on vast experience in churches and communities, and with lost people who needed to be found. Most important, the book is often so specific that you will actually know what to do; and if, on occasion, you disagree--you will think of a better way, at least for you!

In my view there are only two or three truly great books on personal witnessing that have come out recent enough to consider the complex age that we live today. TELL, by Dr. Robert Pierson is one of those books. It brings clarity to complexity and adds a touch of practicality to sharing the Good News that is missing in so many recently written theoretical books. But best of all, TELL motivates the reader to reach out into the community and become missional. It put a fire in my soul and I expect to see that fire catch on in my church and my community.

We have a story to tell and a Christ to share. Bob Pierson’s book, TELL, gives the disciple of Christ the proper tools and challenge to offer Christ to all that we meet. My dear friend Bob makes it clear that the Great Commission is not an option, but it is what the Lord expects all who confess Him to be Lord and Savior to do. I recommend this book to all who are serious about making disciples for Jesus Christ and use its practical applications in sharing the gospel with others! With the world in the state in which it is, we cannot waste any more time! It’s time for us to Tell the story!

Bob Pierson understands the theory of ministry in that he knows why faithful pastors do what they do. But more than that, Pierson communicates the art, science, or practice of personal evangelism as lived out in churches. He does what seminaries would do if they had more time or know-how. About this book, all I can counsel is do as Augustine suggested: "Take up and read, take up and read" (Tolle lege, tolle lege). – Confessions, Book VII, Chapter 12

The journey toward faithful discipleship must include the winsome invitation for others to also join the journey. Bob Pierson gives an artful blend of both inspiration and instruction for every church that seeks to fruitfully respond to Jesus' Great Commission. This is a must-read book for the 21st century Christian.
